Nacho Cheese Powder

Have you ever wanted to add Doritos-like flavoring to another food?  Maybe on your popcorn?  Maybe over pretzels?  Perhaps on tacos or sloppy joes?  Now you can!

This seasoning blend doesn’t taste exactly like Doritos, but it’s close enough to comfortably pass.

How to Make Nacho Cheese Powder

To make nacho cheese powder, you’ll first need cheddar cheese powder.  I made homemade cheddar cheese powder by dehydrating cheddar cheese and then running the result through a food processor.

If you don’t want to take the time to make your own cheddar cheese powder, there are a variety of powders that you can buy. (View on Amazon) [paid link]

You will also need a spice grinder in order to finely mix the cheese powder with the other spices.  You may be able to get away with a food processor, but the end result won’t be as fine. (View on Amazon) [paid link]

Once you start making your own nacho cheese powder, you might discover that you “need” a cheese shaker! (View on Amazon) [paid link]
